Industrial Electrician - C License

Our client, a large-scale organization operating essential maritime infrastructures on the South Shore of Montreal, is looking for an industrial electrician with a C license. The selected person will maintain electrical systems, control equipment, and operational facilities. They will also participate in equipment monitoring, interventions during breakdowns, and maintaining operational continuity. Comprehensive training in maintenance and operations will be provided to prepare them for the various responsibilities of the position.

The tasks consist of:

• Monitoring, controlling, and remotely adjusting various equipment related to operational infrastructures.
• Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, control equipment, and industrial facilities.
• Diagnosing electrical failures and responding quickly to limit operational interruptions.
• Inspecting equipment, verifying their operation, and making necessary corrections.
• Participating in maneuvers related to the safe operation of infrastructures.
• Preparing, completing, and updating work orders, reports, and intervention notices.
• Recording operational data and interventions carried out in electronic systems.
• Monitoring alarms, analyzing problematic situations, and applying required emergency measures.
• Communicating with various stakeholders to ensure continuity and safety of operations.
• Acting as a first responder when the situation requires it.
• Applying procedures, standards, and safe work practices at all times.
• Performing any other task related to maintenance, operations, and safety of facilities.

Requirements:

• Valid C license in Quebec.
• DEP in electricity or electromechanics obtained in Quebec.
• Minimum of two years of experience in industrial electricity.
• Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Comfortable with programmable automata, speed drives, motor controls, and progressive starters.
• Ability to work at height, in depth, near water, and in confined spaces.
• Mastery of surveillance, industrial control, and maintenance software.
• Eligibility for federal security clearance.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors and according to a rotating day and night schedule following a 2-2-3 cycle.
• Availability to undergo a medical examination, a functional capacity evaluation, and a drug screening test.
• Valid class 5 or class 3 driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Good ability to communicate in English, both orally and written (communications are more than 40% in English).
• Experience in the maritime sector, a considerable asset.

Salary: From $43 to $49.68 per hour, depending on progress in the training program.

Schedule: Average of 40 hours per week, on 12-hour shifts rotating day and night.

Status: Permanent.
