Your Role – Tile Setter

As a tile setter with BonBain, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality tiling in custom bathroom renovations. From precise layouts to expert grout lines, your work will define the look and feel of our projects.

You’ll work closely with the foreman and the rest of the team to bring bathrooms to life — on time and with craftsmanship you’re proud of.

Key Responsibilities

• Layout and install wall and floor tiles (ceramic, porcelain, stone, mosaic, etc.)

• Set tiles on shower walls, floors, niches, and backsplashes

• Install finishing edges (aluminum/Schluter), thresholds, and tile baseboards

• Apply grout, silicone, and caulking with clean, consistent finishes

• Follow proper waterproofing and substrate prep (Schluter, membranes, etc.)

• Cut tiles with precision using appropriate tools

• Keep job sites clean, organized, and protected from damage

• Collaborate with foreman and team to stay on schedule

• Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and coworkers

• Log progress in JobTread or paper reports if needed

✅ What You Bring

• 2+ years of tile-setting experience (bathroom experience is a major plus)

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

• Knowledge of waterproofing methods (e.g., Schluter) and tile patterns

• Ability to read tile layouts or follow clear instructions

• Your own tools (or willingness to build up your kit with time)

• Driver’s license and access to a vehicle (until company vehicle assigned)

• Professional attitude, accountability, and a growth mindset
