Your Role – Tile Setter As a tile setter with BonBain, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality tiling in custom bathroom renovations. From precise layouts to expert grout lines, your work will define the look and feel of our projects. You’ll work closely with the foreman and the rest of the team to bring bathrooms to life — on time and with craftsmanship you’re proud of. Key Responsibilities Layout and install wall and floor tiles (ceramic, porcelain, stone, mosaic, etc.) Set tiles on shower walls, floors, niches, and backsplashes Install finishing edges (aluminum/Schluter), thresholds, and tile baseboards Apply grout, silicone, and caulking with clean, consistent finishes Follow proper waterproofing and substrate prep (Schluter, membranes, etc.) Cut tiles with precision using appropriate tools Keep job sites clean, organized, and protected from damage Collaborate with foreman and team to stay on schedule Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and coworkers Log progress in JobTread or paper reports if needed ✅ What You Bring 2+ years of tile-setting experience (bathroom experience is a major plus) Strong attention to detail and pride in your work Knowledge of waterproofing methods (e.g., Schluter) and tile patterns Ability to read tile layouts or follow clear instructions Your own tools (or willingness to build up your kit with time) Driver’s license and access to a vehicle (until company vehicle assigned) Professional attitude, accountability, and a growth mindset What We Offer (after 3-month probation) Starting pay from $30/hour, with raises based on skill and reliability Bonus structure based on performance and quality Company vehicle (based on availability and evaluation) Credit card for gas and material purchases Paid mileage until company vehicle assigned 1 week paid vacation after 1 year Long-term growth opportunities and in-house training to level up Join a Team That Cares If you're a skilled tile setter who values craftsmanship, communication, and being part of a supportive team — BonBain is your place to grow. Your Role As Foreman, you’ll take full ownership of job sites — including both execution and leadership. You’ll coordinate the team, ensure craftsmanship, and be the point person for all on-site activities. Responsibilities include: Leading and supervising all daily on-site activities Performing and guiding work such as: Site prep, floor protection, dust control Demolition and rough framing Waterproofing membrane installation (Schluter, etc.) Plastering, painting, tiling Vinyl flooring, baseboards, moldings Doors, windows, and bathroom fan installation Vanity, mirror, accessory, and shower glass install Latex, silicone, caulking, grouting Ensuring site safety, cleanliness, and daily progress Tracking progress via JobTread (or paper logs when needed) Coordinating with subcontractors and the office Mentoring and supporting apprentices or junior team members If you don’t yet know all of these tasks — we offer in-house training for the right person with the right mindset.✅ What You Bring 2+ years of experience as a lead hand or foreman Deep knowledge of residential renovations, especially bathrooms Ability to read plans, solve problems, and stay ahead of the crew Strong leadership and communication skills Driver’s license and personal vehicle (until truck is provided) Accountability, humility, and a growth mindset Comfortable with mobile tools (training provided if needed) What We Offer (after 3-month probation) Starting pay from $35/hour, with performance-based increases Bonus structure for leadership and job site performance Company truck (subject to availability and candidate evaluation) Credit card for gas and material purchases Company phone number for team/client calls and texts Paid mileage until truck is assigned 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of employment Long-term career growth, with potential to buy into the company after several years (based on performance, commitment, and shared vision) Join a Team That Cares If you're a builder at heart, a leader by nature, and someone who wants to work where truth, kindness, and communication matter — BonBain might be your next home.
