Our client is looking for individuals with experience in electricity and wishing to evolve into an estimator role, as well as candidates with experience in estimation in other fields, but who have already worked in electricity. The company offers flexible schedules (for example, starting earlier to finish earlier, or vice versa), as well as the possibility of remote work after the training period.
The tasks consist of:
- Managing the entire estimation process (receiving documents, analyzing plans and specifications, preparing bids, and transferring files).
- Actively searching for relevant projects to bid on.
- Collaborating with project managers for amendments and additional work.
- Analyzing actual costs compared to initial bids at the end of projects.
- Participating in project kick-off meetings.
- Visiting construction sites, as needed, negotiating with suppliers, and estimating labor costs.
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications to accurately assess costs.
- Performing any other related tasks.

Requirements:
- DEC in estimation, electricity, or a related field (desired).
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of CMEQ software (an asset).
- Mastery of computer tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, and management software).
- Good knowledge of the electricity sector.
- Bilingualism is an asset (about 30% of the time with an English-speaking clientele).
