YOUR ROLE
You are the team leader on our residential construction sites. You lead the work from start to finish and anticipate the next steps so that other trades can arrive under the best conditions, and you ensure that each finish reflects the quality that makes our reputation. You will also have a carpentry apprentice under your charge, to whom you will pass on your skills on a daily basis.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out framing and structural work
Install exterior doors and windows as needed
Install drywall as needed
Perform finishing work: soft floor coverings, interior doors, frames and baseboards
Read and interpret plans
Respect the timelines and budgets of each project
Ensure quality control at each stage
Anticipate and plan the next steps of the work
Ensure the follow-up of materials to be ordered and manage the trailer inventory
Supervise and train the carpentry apprentice
THE PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You have already proven yourself in residential renovation. You read a plan well, you know how to take initiatives and you have this attention to detail that makes the difference between good work and a job that is simply "correct". Punctuality and pride in a job well done are obvious to you. You enjoy passing on your trade and you feel comfortable supervising an apprentice.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in residential carpentry (framing, structure, finishing)
Good ability to read a plan
Valid driver's license
Personal basic tools
CCQ competency cards (an asset)
Living in the Southwest of Montreal or the South Shore (an asset)
