Pipefitter Profile

Your role

Perform verification, repair, maintenance, modification and installation work in the fields of plumbing, heating, oil burners, automatic sprinklers and refrigeration.

Your responsibilities

  • Repair or replace piping and install new accessories that are part of the modernization of plumbing systems;
  • Connect domestic air, water, sewer and gas lines to supply and return networks;
  • Unclog sinks, basins, showers, urinals and cabinets;
  • Ensure proper maintenance of piping, faucets, valves and other accessories;
  • Proceed with the operation and closure of plumbing systems in public places during certain seasons;
  • Drill or have holes drilled for pipes in walls or floors;
  • Bend, cut, bore and thread pipes, install and connect them;
  • Carry out various tests to determine the system's tightness;
  • Install, replace, repair and connect steam, hot water or gas heating system pipes;
  • Assemble, install and repair hot water heating appliances;
  • Clean or have the pipes inside boilers cleaned and perform any other work required for regular maintenance of installations;
  • Assemble and install refrigeration, lighting and liquefied petroleum gas cooking appliances and perform any work required for the maintenance of installations.

Your qualifications and experience

  • Have access to a vehicle and have a valid driver's license;
  • Have the pipefitter's competence card;
  • Have the gas competence card (an asset);
  • Have 3 to 5 years of experience (an asset).

Your remuneration

$29.70/hour
