Chargé(e) de projet – Estimateur(trice) (Projets Hydro-Québec)

Are you an experienced professional in the field of electrical substations and stations and wish to get involved in large-scale technical projects?

Our client, a well-established company specializing in the construction, maintenance, and modernization of power lines and distribution stations, is looking for a Project Manager to manage and develop projects related to Hydro-Québec throughout the province. This position is ideal for an experienced line installer who wishes to evolve into a project coordination role, while maintaining a concrete link with the field.

You will join an organization led by tradespeople, where practical expertise is valued, communication is direct, and respect for well-done work is at the heart of the company culture. You will play a key role in the development and realization of projects essential to Quebec's energy infrastructure, within a human-sized, dynamic, and stable environment.

The position is offered remotely, anywhere in Quebec.

Main responsibilities

• Identify and develop new projects, notably by responding to public tenders (Hydro-Québec) and maintaining a network of partners.
• Prepare cost estimates (materials, labor, equipment) and compile technical files.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise all stages of medium voltage projects: cable pulling, station installation, connections.
• Manage schedules, budgets, contracts, resources, and customer communications.
• Supervise subcontractors and internal teams on the field, ensuring compliance with Hydro-Québec standards, CCQ, and health and safety rules (CNESST).
• Ensure rigorous follow-up of projects, adjust plans according to unforeseen events, and deliver quality results.
• Perform any other task related to the position.

Requirements

• Significant experience in electrical substations and stations as well as in medium voltage projects.
• Excellent knowledge of Hydro-Québec standards and procedures.
• Technical training (DEC, AEC in electricity, line assembly) or equivalent experience.
• Mastery of estimation and project management software (Excel, MS Project, CMEQ, etc.).

Salary: Over $100,000 per year, plus bonuses. Schedule: Daytime, remote. Status: Permanent
