The Maintenance Technician's main role is to carry out various tasks to keep the building in perfect condition. Responsible for supervising the main mechanical systems, preventive maintenance programs, as well as the appearance and physical operation of the hotel building, the restaurant building, and the outdoor grounds of the property.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in maintenance
· General knowledge in plumbing (repair of toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, etc.)
· General knowledge in building maintenance (Painting, plaster, electricity, wallpaper, ceramics, carpentry, dry walls, heating, air conditioning, washing machines/dryers, ventilation systems, electricity and HVAC, etc.)
· The candidate must be in good physical shape (able to lift 50 to 75 lb)
· Must be able to communicate effectively in French/English
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain the proper functioning of the rooms, restaurant, exercise room, hotel pool, and common areas
· Organize tasks in order of priority
· Keep equipment in good working order
· Keep inventories up to date to maintain adequate stock for the proper functioning and repair of the hotel in general
· Plan renovation projects and upgrades
· Monitor and coordinate services performed by external contractors in accordance with all contracts, leases, service agreements, and warranties.
· Ensure a quick response to service requests from customers, employees, and management, including the repair or replacement of all interior furnishings and furniture.
· Plan all daily work with minimal inconvenience to guests and colleagues.
· Keep appropriate equipment operation logs up to date, as detailed in the operating manual.
· Maintain a clean and orderly work area, free from hazards.
· Perform scheduled preventive maintenance checks in all areas (rooms and public spaces) and for all equipment.
