Job Summary The pipe insulation worker is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of thermal, acoustic, and protective insulation systems on pipes, ducts, tanks, and mechanical equipment. They contribute to energy efficiency, facility safety, and the protection of industrial equipment.

Main Responsibilities • Read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and specifications • Be able to order their materials according to the quote and/or bid • Measure and mark surfaces to be insulated • Cut, adjust, and install insulating materials according to specifications • Install thermal, acoustic, and anti-condensation insulators • Apply protective coverings such as sheet metal, aluminum, or PVC • Secure insulating materials using fasteners, glues, adhesives, or other attachment systems • Check the quality and compliance of the work performed • Carry out the repair or replacement of damaged insulators • Comply with health and safety standards • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements and Qualifications • Vocational diploma in insulation or equivalent experience • Valid competency card (CCQ) • Ability to read plans and technical specifications • Good manual skills and physical condition • Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces • Knowledge of health and safety standards
