Superintendent - Civil Engineering

We are looking for a Civil Engineering Superintendent who will play a key role in the realization of our projects.

As a superintendent, you will be the driving force of operations on the construction site. You will plan, organize, and supervise the work to ensure its efficient, safe execution in accordance with schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

You will also be the main point of contact on the field, ensuring smooth collaboration between the construction site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers.

Your main responsibilities

Planning and coordination

• Plan resources, equipment, and labor in the short, medium, and long term according to project schedules.

• Coordinate the work of internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers in collaboration with group leaders.

• Organize the mobilization of equipment and optimize the use of resources.

• Analyze plans and specifications, and propose effective solutions in case of unforeseen events.

Work management

• Supervise the execution of work and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.

• Monitor the progress of the construction site and intervene quickly to correct any situation that may affect productivity or schedules.

• Supervise the construction of infrastructure such as water mains, sewers, roads, culverts, and concrete structures.

• Manage technical or logistical issues in collaboration with stakeholders.

Leadership and team management

• Guide and support group leaders and construction site teams.

• Maintain a positive, productive, and motivating work environment.

• Apply the company's policies on health and safety, quality, and human resources.

Health and safety

• Promote a strong health and safety culture on the construction site.

• Identify and analyze daily risks and implement necessary preventive measures.

• Intervene in incidents and ensure the follow-up and required documentation.

• Actively participate in safety breaks, risk analyses, and construction site meetings.

Communication and follow-up

• Maintain clear and constant communication with the project manager, engineers, and various stakeholders.

• Produce daily progress and labor reports.

• Participate in construction site meetings and ensure follow-up of actions.

Desired profile

• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering construction, including 3 to 5 years in supervision.

• Experience in civil infrastructure projects (water mains, sewers, roads, concrete structures, etc.).

• Excellent knowledge of construction methods, standards, and regulations.

• Valid driver's license and availability to travel to construction sites.
