About the position
Are you a painter-drywall finisher looking to use your skills in various projects? Constructions Lalonde & Belisle are looking for a painter-drywall finisher to join their team.
In your role, you will participate in various reconstruction and restoration projects after disasters on residential and commercial sites mainly located on the South Shore and Montreal Island. You will be called upon to carry out both drywall finishing and painting work, ensuring a neat finish and quality work.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces before jointing and painting work
- Apply tapes and perform joint finishing
- Apply the different layers of compound needed
- Perform sanding and prepare surfaces for finishing
- Protect surfaces, furniture and workspaces
- Perform necessary masking work
- Apply primers, paints and other finishing products
- Perform necessary touch-ups
- Ensure a uniform and quality finish
- Maintain clean and safe workspaces
- Collaborate with other team members according to the progress of the work
Profile sought
- Valid CCQ competency certificate as a painter-drywall finisher — journeyman or 3rd year apprentice
- Experience in drywall finishing and painting
- Experience in reconstruction or post-disaster, an asset
- Good knowledge of preparation, jointing and painting techniques
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required to travel to different sites

Conditions offered
- Salary according to status and rates provided in the CCQ collective agreement
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Tools provided according to the CCQ collective agreement
