Mechanical Shovel Operator

We are looking for a mechanical shovel operator for excavation and soil decontamination projects in Montreal and on the South Shore.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate a mechanical shovel in a safe and efficient manner;

• Carry out excavation work according to plans and directives;

• Collaborate closely with the foreman and the construction team;

• Ensure basic maintenance of the machinery;

• Strictly adhere to health and safety standards;

• Participate, as needed, in certain related tasks on the site.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid CCQ card (operator);

• Training in health and safety on construction sites;

• Valid driver's license and car;

• Relevant experience in excavation (a serious advantage);

• Ability to work outdoors, in all seasons.

SKILLS AND QUALITIES SOUGHT

• Regular attendance and punctuality;

• Team spirit and good communication;

• Autonomy, meticulousness and sense of responsibility;

• Professional attitude on construction sites.

ASSETS

• Experience with different machinery;

• Ability to drive a truck with a trailer;

• Knowledge of the decontamination and asbestos environment.
