Industrial Machinery Operator - Schelling Robotic Warehouse

Are you comfortable with automated machinery, computer systems, and industrial equipment?

Are you the kind of person who likes the inventory to balance, materials to be in the right place, and production to never run out of anything?

Does driving a forklift and unloading a trailer truck with large bundles of panels not intimidate you?

And most importantly: when a machine gives you an alarm, is your first instinct to understand what's going on, not to wait for someone to tell you what to do?

Keep reading. We might be looking for someone exactly like you.

At Cuisi-n-Art, we have a Schelling robotic warehouse that manages our melamine panel inventory and feeds our production.

We are looking for the person who will take charge of this equipment on a daily basis.

This is not just a warehouse position.

It's an industrial machinery operator position that combines automation, computing, inventory, material reception, and forklift driving.

Specifically, you will:

Operate and monitor our Schelling robotic warehouse;
Manage the entries and exits of panels in the computer system;
Ensure that the codes, colors, thicknesses, formats, and quantities are accurate;
Order and monitor the automated movements of the storage system;
Ensure that production has the right materials at the right time;
Receive melamine deliveries;
Unload trailer trucks using a forklift;
Handle panel bundles safely and accurately;
Check delivery slips and identify discrepancies or damages;
Maintain a reliable physical and computer inventory;
React to alarms and anomalies of the Schelling according to established procedures;
Keep your work environment clean, organized, and safe.

WE WANT someone who...

Is meticulous. Really meticulous.
Is comfortable with a computer and machinery interfaces;
Has experience with a forklift;
Is able to handle large materials accurately;
Understands that a code or quantity error can impact the entire production;
Is independent and resourceful;
Has a good mechanical sense;
Quickly notices when something is not normal;
Likes to understand how a machine works;
Is reliable and punctual;
Works quickly without sacrificing safety or accuracy;
Likes to have responsibility for "their" equipment and take care of it.

WE DON'T WANT someone who...

Guesses when they are not sure;
Enters information into a system without checking it;
Is disorganized with inventory;
Always waits to be told what to do;
Ignores an alarm and hopes it will go away on its own;
Is negligent with machinery or material;
Thinks that driving a forklift simply means going fast;
Has difficulty working with codes, quantities, or a computer system;
Considers cleaning and organizing their environment as "someone else's job";
Takes shortcuts with health and safety.

This position is probably for you if...

You are the kind of person who arrives in the morning and wants to know:

"Is my equipment ready? Is my inventory good? Does production have everything it needs?"

You like having a clear and important responsibility in a factory.

You appreciate technology, but you also like the concrete side of work: receiving materials, driving your forklift, organizing your environment, and physically seeing production progress.

And when a problem arises, you are more of the type:

"OK. Why is it doing that?"

than:

"That's not my problem."

So yes.

What we are looking for

DES or relevant DEP;
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment;
Experience in operation of industrial or automated machinery: big asset;
Experience with a forklift;
Experience in reception or handling of materials: asset;
Comfort with computer systems;
Experience in wood, melamine, or cabinet making: asset.

You don't specifically know a Schelling?

That's not necessarily a problem.

If you have already operated automated machinery, understand equipment quickly, are comfortable with computers, and have the right attitude, we can teach you our system.
