Security Systems Installation Technician
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the team leader, the role of the security systems installation technician is to install cameras or alarm components.
📍 90% of projects are located in the greater Montreal area. However, 10% of travel outside the area should be expected, including hotel and per diem.
What you will do, depending on your experience:
• Installation and connection of alarm equipment and intrusion systems
• Basic configuration of camera systems
• Installation and routing of wiring in commercial businesses, according to the established plan
• Installation and connection of alarm systems and camera equipment
• Installation of DVR/NVR, switch and antenna
• Network configuration and its components according to the connection plan.
• Troubleshooting equipment issues
• Completing installation forms and time sheets
• Participating in team meetings to optimize project delivery
• Any other related task(s)
What we are looking for
• DEP in installation and repair or equivalent minimum experience
• Hold a valid class 5 driver's license, with driving record to support
• 5 years of installation experience or strong technical skills and demonstrated know-how
• Ability to work at height, efficiently and cleanly
• Autonomy and resourcefulness
• Customer service oriented, good communication and presentation
• BSP and ASP construction license - an asset
• Certificate for bucket truck and lift platform – an asset
