Our client, a constantly evolving company in the construction industry, is looking to hire a Heavy Machinery and Heavy Truck Mechanic to join a passionate, experienced, and committed team striving for excellence!

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect machines for potential defects and failures;
  • Accurately identify the nature of diagnosed defects and failures;
  • Adjust equipment by making repairs or replacing defective parts, installations, or components;
  • Conduct thorough tests on repaired equipment to verify its proper operation and ensure that repairs comply with the manufacturer's standards;
  • Maintain regular upkeep of equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and performing other necessary maintenance tasks;
  • Ensure the quality of work in the mechanical maintenance of equipment;
  • Effectively manage ISO9001 certification;
  • Guarantee the safety of the premises and the quality of service;
  • Ensure the maintenance of accessories and work tools, ensuring their good condition and availability for operations;
  • Carry out all other tasks of a similar nature or of a general nature related to the job, requested by his superior or required by his functions.

Profile:

  • Vocational diploma in mechanics or related field (asset);
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic;
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license;
  • Excellent mastery of all skills related to heavy equipment, from steering to braking systems, including clutch and transmission;
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems (relevant asset);
  • Knowledge in electricity (asset);
  • Sense of responsibility and autonomy;
  • Ability to manage work and take initiatives;
  • Patience and leadership;
  • Good analytical mind and keen sense of observation;
  • Reliability and honesty;
  • Punctuality and resourcefulness;
  • Efficiency and motivation.
