HEAVY VEHICLE MECHANIC – EVENING SHIFT

Metropolitan Paving is currently looking for a heavy vehicle mechanic to join its maintenance team.

Under the authority of the garage manager, the holder of the position will participate in the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of our fleet of heavy vehicles and trailers to ensure the smooth operation of operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out minor and major repairs on heavy vehicles;
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment;
• Carry out mechanical diagnostics and identify necessary repairs;
• Perform mechanical tests according to the manufacturer's specifications;

Ensure the maintenance and repairs of the:

• tractor trucks;
• 12-wheel trucks;
• 2 and 4 axle semi-trailers;

Ensure the compliance of vehicles and equipment according to established standards;

Follow up on preventive maintenance and repairs;

Maintain a safe working environment;

Perform all other related tasks related to the position.

REQUIREMENTS

DEP in heavy vehicle mechanics;

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role;
• Valid driver's license;
• PEP card (asset);
• Class 1 or 3 license (asset);
• Knowledge of Law 430 (asset).
