Yso Consultant is currently looking for an Estimator/Project Manager (or Construction Project Coordinator) to complete its team.
The holder of the position will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and control of construction projects (residential and commercial). They will directly contribute to decision-making, cost optimization, adherence to schedules, and overall profitability of projects.
They will need to estimate the projects, ensure the coordination and execution of the projects, and provide occasional on-site support.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze plans, specifications, and documents in the context of tender calls
- Quantify materials, labor, and equipment
- Estimate project costs and prepare bids
- Plan, organize, and coordinate assigned projects
- Solicit, compare, and analyze bids from suppliers and subcontractors, in collaboration with the internal team
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders
- Participate in the development of budgets and the review of costs during the project
- Ensure the follow-up of schedules, costs, and quality
- Develop and maintain clear and transparent communication with partners, project managers, engineers, and other involved resources
- Participate in meetings and site visits by vigilantly monitoring the progress of projects
- Manage unforeseen events on sites and propose solutions
- Collaborate with the internal team (management, accounting, direction)
Desired Profile
- Technical in architecture, estimation, or other relevant training in construction
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in estimation and project management
- Field experience (site, foreman, project manager)
- Mastery of AutoCAD and Excel
- Knowledge in construction, architecture (Building Codes, Standards, and construction methods)
- Reading and analysis of plan
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and professional rigor
- ASP Construction card (an asset)
- Bilingualism (an asset)
Working Conditions:
- Day work, 40 hours per week, flexible
- Office work (remote) with site visits (Montérégie, Estrie, and Nunavik)
