FOREMAN / INDUSTRIAL PAINTER
Construction Site – CCQ
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the site director, the foreman / industrial painter plays a dual role of supervising the team and carrying out industrial painting work. He coordinates daily activities, ensures the quality and productivity of the work, and ensures compliance with health and safety requirements.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, organize and distribute the team's work according to the site's priorities.
Transmit directives, supervise work and ensure follow-up on their progress.
Guide workers and promote a respectful, professional and collaborative work environment.
Actively participate in industrial painting work: preparation of surfaces and products, application of paints and coatings, and touch-ups.
Control the quality of work and ensure the correction of non-conformities.
Enforce health and safety rules, safe work methods, the wearing of PPE and WHMIS requirements.
Ensure the proper use and maintenance of equipment and tools.
Act as a reference person for the team and as a relay with the site director.
REQUIREMENTS AND DESIRED PROFILE
Hold the cards, certificates of competence and qualifications required for sites subject to the CCQ.
Have significant experience in industrial painting.
Experience in supervision, team coordination or as a foreman is a significant asset.
Demonstrate leadership, autonomy, rigor and good organizational skills.
Have good judgment and an ability to make decisions on the ground.
Show professionalism, team spirit and a commitment to health and safety.
