About the position

We are looking for a versatile laborer to join our team in a full-time, year-round permanent position. This is a position offering a wide variety of tasks and projects, with a very high possibility of adapting responsibilities to the skills, experience, and qualifications of the candidate.

Depending on the projects, the person may be called upon to work on construction, renovation, and demolition sites, in industrial and commercial buildings, as well as in factories. The work can include the construction of duplexes, concrete formwork and cutting, asbestos removal, oxy-cutting, building refurbishment and maintenance, as well as various handling tasks.

The versatility and skills of each individual are utilized to offer a position adapted to the person's profile.

Main responsibilities Under the direction of the supervisor, the laborer will have to:

• Participate in the construction of duplexes and various construction works.
• Carry out concrete formwork and cutting work.
• Participate in asbestos removal work, according to applicable qualifications and requirements.
• Carry out refurbishment, maintenance, and renovation work on industrial and commercial buildings.
• Carry out demolition work and site preparation.
• Handle materials, prepare work areas, and use various site tools and equipment.
• Perform oxy-cutting.
• Perform any other related task according to the needs of the projects and the skills of the candidate.

Requirements

• CCQ competency card, an asset.
• Relevant experience in construction, renovation, demolition, or industrial environment, an asset.
• Ability to work safely on sites and in different work environments.
• Good physical ability and interest in manual and versatile work.
• Class 1 and/or 3 driver's license, an asset.
• Respect for health and safety rules and procedures.
• Spoken French.
